Soprano -Soprano is the smallest of the four ukulele body sizes and is the traditional ukulele size. The Honu Soprano is perfect for kids learning ukulele or for adults who prefer the brighter tone of a traditional ukulele.
Concert -Concert ukuleles are currently the most popular ukulele body size worldwide. Bigger than a soprano but smaller than a tenor, a concert uke is the perfect middle ground for most players. This size is suitable for all ages, though small children may be better suited to a soprano.
Tenor -Tenor ukuleles are exploding in popularity thanks to the full, deep sound produced by their larger body size. Bigger than the concert, the tenor is great for teenagers and adults that are looking for the most volume from their ukulele and extra space for their fingers on the fretboard.
Baritone -As the name suggests, a baritone ukulele is the largest and deepest sounding of all of the ukulele sizes. Usually tuned like the highest four strings of a guitar (DGBE), rather than the GCEA tuning found on most ukes, a baritone is great if you have a background in guitar because you won't have to learn any new chord shapes. They are also very fun if you are a ukulele player looking to experiment with a different tone.

Acacia has long been one of the most popular tonewoods used on higher end ukuleles and it's easy to see why. Visually striking and tonally rich, each piece of acacia has its own characteristics, making each instrument built with it unique. For our Kohala Deluxe series, we have paired the all acacia body with abalone style purfling and rosette and flame maple binding. The installed UK-500T pickup system includes a built in tuner with 3-band EQ and is powered by included lightweight CR2032 batteries. As with all Honolua Ukuleles, it includes premium features designed to produce the best tone possible at an affordable price, including solid acacia top for greater volume and better tone, bone nut and saddle for better clarity and sustain, open back machine heads for tuning precision and eco-friendly wood selections.
Kohala Series
The Kohala has all of the aesthetic upgrades of the Mano, including solid top, maple binding, gold tuners, and dual strap pins, but it’s built with acacia wood instead of mahogany. Acacia is revered for its beautiful, full tone and we’ve added abalone-style trim around the body.

After a surge in popularity in the last couple of years, the tenor is poised to become the biggest selling uke body size soon. At 26", it is another increase in size from the concert (at 24"). The benefits of that larger size: you get even more room on the fingerboard to shape the chords and the larger body provides even more resonance, volume and depth. The tenor ukulele will sound quite a bit deeper than the other options, so it strays a bit from traditional ukulele tone.

Great playing Awesome sound both acoustic and plugged in Dave supplies the best service you can ask for love the low G
I picked this one up for 50% off from the B-stock/discontinued sale page. I was shopping for a baritone (which I also bought and adore) when I found this and couldn't resist it. It has a very minor defect on the front face ( shown in photo) which does nothing to mar the beauty of this instrument. The sound, the sustain, the intonation are all perfect. What an incredible find for this price! I am so happy
My acacia electric tenor arrived today and I am entirely impressed.
First remarks: out of the box it is very pretty. Wood grain is nicely figured front & back, the ‘abalone’ trim pops and the maple binding all contribute to a fine looking instrument.
Tuned it up and started strumming… tone & sustain are spectacular. Intonation is PERFECT - the length of the fretboard.
Great value too. I did a fair bit of homework, and at that price point, I couldn’t find anything close to the Honolua’s quality.
All in all, this is an excellent little instrument that exceeded my expectations.
Five stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Thanks & kudos to Dave Simpson and his crew in Calgary.
PS: - I’ve never bought a stringed instrument on-line, so I was slightly leery - turns out there was no reason to be.
I've had this ukulele for about 6 months now and while I have many ukes (different brands, woods and sizes) I find myself consistently reaching for this one. It has a warm, rich tone, with a beautiful ringing upper register. Intonation is excellent all the way up the fret board and the full sound projects beautifully. The comfort and quality in hand is excellent! So happy with this purchase...AND Dave and the team at Honolua offer above-and-beyond service that's sure to perfect your experience!
This uke is exactly what I had wanted. It has a full, rich tone, the ability to be played amplified or unplugged and is an attractive instrument that will not look out of place on stage beside my guitars. I am very happy with this purchase.
