The Ukulele Humidifier Pro is D’Addario’s first ukulele humidifier designed to fit in the soundhole of the instrument. Based on the design of the Guitar Humidifier Pro, this version contains an easy-to-remove rubber cap and a hydrophilic sponge in a much smaller size that is perfect for a ukulele. The hydrophilic sponge holds up to 12x its own weight in water, which means it will hydrate the instrument over a longer period of time.
I picked up a couple of these humidifiers because I just didn't want to take the risk of having something happen to my ukuleles (I have a few...... I'll leave it at that). I think my basement for the most part would be plenty damp in the summer, but in the winter months, the air can get dry. I check them every few weeks and re-dampen the sponge. Its pretty easy and gives me the piece of mind I want.
