Soprano -Soprano is the smallest of the four ukulele body sizes and is the traditional ukulele size. The Honu Soprano is perfect for kids learning ukulele or for adults who prefer the brighter tone of a traditional ukulele.
Concert -Concert ukuleles are currently the most popular ukulele body size worldwide. Bigger than a soprano but smaller than a tenor, a concert uke is the perfect middle ground for most players. This size is suitable for all ages, though small children may be better suited to a soprano.
Tenor -Tenor ukuleles are exploding in popularity thanks to the full, deep sound produced by their larger body size. Bigger than the concert, the tenor is great for teenagers and adults that are looking for the most volume from their ukulele and extra space for their fingers on the fretboard.
Baritone -As the name suggests, a baritone ukulele is the largest and deepest sounding of all of the ukulele sizes. Usually tuned like the highest four strings of a guitar (DGBE), rather than the GCEA tuning found on most ukes, a baritone is great if you have a background in guitar because you won't have to learn any new chord shapes. They are also very fun if you are a ukulele player looking to experiment with a different tone.

Perfect for anyone wanting to dip their toe into the ukulele water, our Honu series was designed to provide as much instrument as we could at an entry level price. The all sapele construction provides a warm tone, similar to that of mahogany, but the Honu is more durable and less susceptible to humidity and temperature changes than our solid top models, the Mano and Kohala. As with all Honolua Ukuleles, it includes premium features designed to produce the best tone possible at an affordable price, including bone nut and saddle for better clarity and sustain, open back machine heads for tuning precision and eco-friendly wood selections.
Honu Series
Our Honu Series is perfect for the beginner ukulele player. The all-laminate sapele construction provides a full, bright tone and the laminate construction means it is durable and less susceptible to humidity changes. Aesthetically, it’s fairly simple, but it never compromises on sound quality.

This uke is awesome. It is quite affordable and definitely worth it. The sound is amazing and it looks great too. I highly recommend purchasing one.
I bought the Honu Baritone ukulele for my son who is just getting into playing. The instrument is very nicely made and sounds excellent. I don’t have a lot of experience with ukuleles, but based on my trips to multiple music stores in town, I don’t see any reason why not to purchase from Honolula. Great Customer service so far and no issues to report.
i have only had this ukulele for a day,but i have already fell in love with it.you can not beat the sound and quality for the price.
I wanted a baritone ukelele but I didn't want to break the bank. I don't need koa and mahogany and ebony, ivory binding and gold fittings. I wanted a solid playable instrument. It had to stay in tune so it had to have decent tuners, good joinery and neck wood selection. I got all that when I bought the Honolua Baritone Ukulele. The tonewood is sapele veneered plywood, unusual but beautiful, stable and sounds great. Now before you scoff at "plywood" this is not your "good one side" plywood" but rather a technical marvel that produces thin stable stock using voidless veneers heat and glue. The rosette is painted but that's okay with me it's just another way this uke stays under $150. There is no binding on the body but the middle ply of the top provides a nice contrast where the top meets the sides...clever. The fretboard is walnut and is bound in a black plastic binding that looks pretty sharp. The fret ends are nicely relieved and well dressed. A bone nut carries the strings to the open gear tuners and allows the strings to pass evenly with little binding which can be a pain on some cheaper instruments as it negatively effects tuning. The string height is about right for me. I didn't have to do anything but tune up to play. I appreciate that from a budet instrument. The makers have focussed on the things that make a workable decent sounding instrument and in my estimate, have done a damn good job....and it looks pretty good too.
This instrument is just beautiful. I own a concert ukulele from another company and decided to give this company a try and let me tell you I’m so shocked how fast it came and how beautiful it was looks and sound wise. My baby enjoys the music that comes from it so that’s another plus. Thank you guys for this awesome instrument! Definitely will be buying again!
